CAPE TOWN
come to THE MOTHER CITY.
Spend 12 unforgettable weeks in South Africa - living in Cape Town, coaching hockey and exploring one of the most exciting cities and countries in the world. You’ll coach hockey, create joy and give kids a place to belong. And somewhere between the sessions, the laughter and everything you didn’t plan for, this place will leave its mark on you too.

Your day.
Your days are a mix of hockey, freedom and Cape Town life. Start with breakfast at the Villa, spend your morning exploring, working out, relaxing or getting things done for Kasi. Then grab the equipment and head out for hockey. Afterwards? Beach, sunset, dinner, drinks or an easy evening at the Villa with people from all over the world. No two days need to look the same.
Off the pitch.
Cape Town gives you a lot to work with. Hike Table Mountain, surf, watch the sunset from Lion’s Head, spot penguins, explore the Winelands or spend the day at the beach. And don’t rush home. We recommend 10 weeks volunteering + 2 weeks travelling. Garden Route? Safari? Namibia? More of South Africa? You decide. Do good. Go explore.

The following room options are available. We take care of the booking.
here for you.
at home and abroad.
You’re off to Cape Town — but you’ve got a team around you from day one. Whether it’s before departure or during your stay, there’s always someone close by to help, guide or simply check in.

Feico Mulder. Your local coordinator.
Feico coordinates the hockey schedule, stays close to the local schools and communities and is your first point of contact on the ground.

Nicola Beer. Your personal contact in Germany.
Nicola prepares you before departure, stays connected throughout your stay and is there whenever something needs support beyond the local team.
costs & logistics.
How much you spend depends a lot on the experience you choose. Go for a dorm and keep things simple, travel with a backpack, or treat yourself to a safari or a few nights somewhere special. You decide where to save and where to spend.

The Kasi fee covers the support around your placement: digital preparation and safeguarding, airport pickup, the Kasi project car and fuel, local coordination, regular check-ins with Kasi Germany, travel tips and ongoing project support.
